India’s only center that caters to both De-addiction and Rehabilitation

Santulan was founded by Dwijen Smart and Shilpa Smart, on 11th June 2011, with the help of recovering addicts, psychiatrists and de-addiction counselors at Yerwada. Santulan is a registered Trust, working for over 11 years. We have treated around 3000+ patients (alcoholics, drug addicts & multi-addicts) from all classes of society. The rising cases of addiction in society necessitated the conception of another rehabilitation facility at Wade-Bolhai.

The couple started with a severe dearth of funds. In spite of that they supplied lunchboxes to support their residents for everything (from food, clothes and medicines to meeting the cost of rent). Eventually, they expanded into a full-fledged treatment center.

Santulan is now fully-operational at two places. The first is at Yerwada with a capacity of 70 beds. The first center always houses at least 20 below-poverty-line patients that cannot afford to pay for the service.

To break even, we have started another centre at Wade Bolhai with a capacity of 60 beds. Here we have patients from the upper classes of society that can afford to pay the full fees.
